The Photo Venture Camera Club, a 30 year member of the Indianapolis art community, wants your images in "Creative Images 2007", a fine art photography competition. The competition is open to anyone and there is no specific theme. Monochrome and color images will be judged separately and will receive separate awards for first through third prize and honorable mentions. There will be a single award for Best in Show. The deadline for entry is September 1, 2007. The entrance fee is $25 for three images.

Images will be on display during the month of November at the Arts Garden in Indianapolis, a space designed for display and performance. The Arts Garden is connected by indoor skywalk to prominent hotels, Circle Centre Mall (100 stores), the Indianapolis Convention Center and the RCA Dome. This is a high end display space in a high traffic area during the holiday shopping season.

Prizes are $500 for Best in Show, $250 for first, $200 for second and $100 for third place. Honorable mentions will receive $25.

The initial entries will be judged by Cynthia O'Dell, internationally known photographer and chair of the Arts Department at DePauw University. Final judging will be done by Joyce Wilson, award winning photographer and a former member of the faculty at Brooks Institute of Photography. We can include photographer contact information as part of the on-the-wall text for each print should the artist wish to offer it for sale. Prospective buyers will need to contact each photographer directly. No commission will be assessed by Photo Venture Camera Club for resulting sales. Individual photographers will be responsible for making arrangements with their buyers.
