"Best kept secrets" are a staple of writing about places to
go. Custer State Park in South Dakota is such a place. Great landscape,
a lot of animals but I have to admit that I keep coming back to the food
served at the Bluebell Lodge. It wouldn't be confused with haute cuisine
but it's the best food I've had in a state or national park restaurant.
For breakfast one of us ordered eggs over easy and another ordered eggs
over medium. You could tell the difference.
The sunsets are nice too.
