I always look for crocus in the spring but chionodoxa is an early bloomer as well. It stays with us into daffodil season. Standing 6 to 8 inches high it can easily be missed if the larger daffodils are present. That is one reason I like to pull the flower out of its background so its beauty can be appreciated without reference to its size. |
