These Asiatic Lilies were shot next door. Pays to have good relations with the neighbors.

As you would guess, these flowers have been pulled out of a background which in this case was pretty busy. Until the background is removed it is often difficult to tell if the image is going to work or not. Some others initially looked better but this one won out.

I see a lot of movement here. It seems to swoop up and curve gracefully to the left. The vertical stalk and closed buds pull us back a bit from the swoop but it is still there.
