I'm going to assume that you are using either Photoshop or Elements in your image preparation.

We will show the required steps using my masterpiece shown at the right. (This was taken next door, not at our house, it's an interesting neighborhood.) It is presently too large and needs to be reduced in size to fit the Call for Entry requirements. Those requirements can be summarized as:

• Final image is to be 1920 X 1920 pixels.
• Most images will have one dimension longer than the other and the shorter dimension is to be filled out with black.
• Resolution is to be 72 pixels/inch.
• The final image is to be in .jpg format, non-progressive and smaller than 1.8 MB.

The instructions will branch now since the steps in Elements and Photoshop are slightly different.
